ECOCITRO

ECOCITRO exerts a bactericidal action through the organic acids, salts, and plant extracts in its formulation. These components penetrate the cell membrane of pathogenic microorganisms quickly due to their strong surfactant activity. This results in an osmotic imbalance—water flows into the pathogen’s cell through the plasma membrane, causing the cell to swell, dilute its internal contents, and ultimately burst (a process known as lysis). In this way, the pathogenic organism is destroyed.
