ECOCITRO GR, due to the synergy of its components, exerts a direct effect on the cell membrane of trophozoites, causing strong surface activity that produces osmotic imbalance (consisting of the passage of water through the plasma membrane into the interior of the cell, increasing its volume and diluting its components, with catastrophic consequences leading to cell rupture — a process known as lysis). This results in the destruction of the trophozoite.
